Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Youth Counsellor with sound experience in providing counselling services to young people and their families. In this role you will utilise a solution focused, strengths-based approach to provide short-term counselling and support services (maximum three months) to Hope Street’s clients. In addition, you will have the opportunity to facilitate a range of workshops and presentations with young people as well as conduct presentations for staff for capacity building.

Desired Skills and Experience
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree of a Social Work, Counselling, Psychology related qualification.
You have at least 2 years of experience in providing youth counselling services.
You have a sound understanding of youth homelessness and pride on your ability to build relationship quickly with your client group.
You greatly enjoy strengthening the capacity for young people to live interdependently and supporting a young person to achieve the maximum degree of self-reliance, stability and self-determination.
You are highly competent using the full suite of Microsoft applications.
You are able to maintain accurate confidential administrative records and progress notes.
